Homage a... is a series of performances inspired by the artistic legacy of influential figures in contemporary art and performance, including Joseph Beuys, Marina Abramović and Roi Vaara. Rather than re-enactments, these works offer personal interpretations of ideas surrounding presence, transformation, human experience and the performative body, engaging in a dialogue with artistic concepts that have profoundly shaped contemporary performance.

Each performance functions as an independent work while simultaneously contributing to a broader investigation into embodiment, memory and the body as a site of experience. Together, the series marks the beginning of an artistic practice that continues to explore the relationships between bodies, environments and processes of transformation.

CONCEPT

Rather than paying tribute to historical performances, Homage a... investigates how artistic ideas can be translated into new embodied experiences. The project explores performance as a living dialogue rather than a historical reference, asking how concepts developed by earlier generations of artists continue to resonate within contemporary conditions.

The body becomes both medium and method of inquiry. Through gesture, duration and presence, each performance examines transformation not as symbolic representation but as an experiential process unfolding in real time. The works investigate how memory, physical action and relational space contribute to the construction of embodied knowledge.

Although rooted in performance art, Homage a... already introduces questions that later expand into immersive environments, artificial intelligence and living systems. The project establishes embodiment as the conceptual foundation of my artistic practice.
